|Festive season is the most awaited time of the year for everyone. It is that perfect season to stuff yourself with food, have some perfect family time and dress up! Just as the fall starts to kick in, everyone engages themselves in preparing for this beautiful occasion and all the efforts can be reflected in home decor as well.
Therefore, Here are the 5 Christmas Home Decor Ideas that you are sure to love! Try these out to give the environment of your house a much needed festive touch:
Create An Advent Calendar:
This is a cult favorite of mine! You must have any old board, hard or it can even be cardboard, in your house. Use that and spray it in metallic silver or golden hues. Search online for some funky and attractive templates. Cut paper into fancy shapes and have dates of the month (December) on them.
Attach it to the cardboard with attractive stickers of Christmas tree, Santa Claus, glittery ornaments, etc.
This will look stunning, plus the date and every passing day to Christmas will increase your excitement even more.
Create A Colorful Bow Wreath:
Bow Wreaths are my favorite DIY home decor! They are easy and look very festive as they incorporate a lot of colors.
Take a wreath made of cardboard and attach several bows on it. What I love the most about it is that you do not need to be super-picky with the colors. You can randomly pick any, put them together and they will look beautiful. You can use this at the entrance door of your house to welcome guests or hang it on the wall of your living room.
To make it look for fancy, you can wrap some fairy lights on it too!
Ornaments, of course!
Ornaments are a staple for the festive season. You can either use some glittery ones called as the Galaxy ornaments. They look very charming and fancy. Or you can also custom create your own! Use some old ball hanging and paint them in cardboard paint.
After that, use chalk to draw a design of your liking or write some lovely Christmas greeting on them. They will look unique, and something out of the box as compared to regular ones.
Candy Jars:
In the season of celebration, one thing that you will have in your room is candy and a lot of candy!
Decorate your candy jars with some glittery decorations, beads or ribbons. It will look even fancier and decorative. You can also choose some lighting and bed comforter (visit mybedcomforter.com for comforter suggestions) to make your room even more appropriate for Christmas.
Christmas Tree:
Needless to say, it’s a must! You can add a big Christmas tree at the corner of your living room. Decorate it with ornaments, lights and little cut-outs.
Create your mistle-toes and decorations to give an impact that you invested a lot of effort. You can also pick small Christmas tree toys to place them on your bedside table or dressing table too!
